She also has specialized training in cosmetic dentistry and performs many other procedures including Invisalign, root canal therapy, and oral surgery.

Meet Our Team
Dr. Rosamond Sonnen
Founder & Dentist
Dr. Sonnen was born and raised in a small town in Texas. It was evident at a young age she had an interest in the dental field. As an infant, she always accompanied her mother to her dental visits. As she grew older, her dentist anticipated her appointments and would create chores and allow her to assist while she was there for her check ups. Dr. Sonnen, of course, grew up and moved to Dallas where she attended Southern Methodist University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.
After college, Dr. Sonnen attended prestigious Baylor College of Dentistry Texas A&M University Health Science Center. While at Baylor, she not only completed the core curriculum for general dentistry but also took additional courses in cosmetic and implant dentistry. During her second year, she conducted research on endodontic materials and the results were later published in the Journal of Endodontics. She was the recipient of many awards but most notably, the Academy of Osseointegration Implant Award and General Dentistry Program Award which are only awarded to the top student per class.
Dr. Sonnen is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Northwest Florida Dental Society, and the Esca Rosa Dental Society. She also is an active member of the Pensacola chapter of the nationally recognized Seattle Study Club, the City of Five Flags Study Club. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband Warren, cooking and trying new cuisine. She also annually participates in Pensacola’s many races, including Pensacola Double Bridge Run, Fiesta Run, McGuire’s St. Patrick’s Day Run, just to name a few. Early in January 2015, Dr. Sonnen and her husband joyfully welcomed their first child, daughter Sienna, into the world.

Charlotte
Registered Dental Assistant
Charlotte is a native of Pensacola. She attended local Fortis Institute to earn her dental assisting degree. There, she honed her chairside assisting skills as well as began building her dental knowledge. Charlotte is able to help patients understand their needed treatment and options. Her pursuit of dental education will not stop with Fortis, she plans to continue her education at UWF and then ultimately go on to dental school. In her free time, Charlotte enjoys baking and painting.
Alexia
Registered Dental Assistant
Alexia was born and raised in Crestview, Florida. Shortly after graduating form high school, she moved to Pensacola and attended Fortis Institute to achieve her goal of becoming a Register Dental Assistant. She gladly joined the Azure Team in 2016. When she is not at the office, Alexia likes spending time enjoying nature. She loves to hike, camp and travel. Alexia has travelled to several parts of the country, from east to west, and hopes to embark on more journeys in the future.

Jennifer
Registered Dental HYGIENIST
Jennifer was born and raised in Austin, Texas. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where she played on the women’s club lacrosse team for 4 years, and received a Bachelors in Communications. After graduation she attended dental hygiene school in Corpus Christi completing her degree in 2013. Her husband, James, is currently a Coast Guard helicopter pilot teaching students at Whiting Field, the Navy’s base in Milton. They have a Goldendoodle named Murphy. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, floating the rive, and going to the lake. She loves to travel with her husband, as much as possible, to areas all over the country and world. She enjoys cooking reading, puzzles, crafting, and spending time with friends and family.
